MerkenIT completed a commercial AV installation in San Antonio for the Oakwell Farms clubhouse, integrating displays, streaming, audio, wireless microphones, and centralized control into one easy-to-use system. The clubhouse previously relied on several separate A/V components, creating a need for a simpler way to manage presentations, entertainment, meetings, and community events.
The Challenge
The clubhouse had several separate A/V components that needed to work together reliably. Users needed to switch between streaming devices and presentation sources, control multiple displays, manage room audio, and use wireless microphones without having to understand the underlying equipment.
The objective was to simplify the experience while still providing the flexibility required for different types of clubhouse events.
Commercial AV Installation in San Antonio: The Oakwell Farms Solution
MerkenIT designed a centralized A/V system that brings the clubhouse’s displays, streaming devices, presentation sources, audio system, and wireless microphones together into one integrated solution.
At the center of the system is an AVPro Edge HDMI matrix that routes multiple video sources to the clubhouse displays. Apple TV and Google TV provide streaming options, while dedicated HDMI and USB-C connections allow users to connect laptops and other presentation devices.
A Yamaha commercial amplifier handles the room audio, while the existing wireless microphone system provides flexibility for meetings, presentations, and community events.
A/V Control & Automation
A key part of the project was making the system simple for clubhouse staff and guests to operate. MerkenIT configured a dedicated iPad running Roomie Remote to provide centralized control of the televisions, source devices, and HDMI matrix.
Instead of using multiple remotes and manually changing inputs, users can select an activity and have the system configure the required displays and video source automatically. This makes it much easier to switch between presentations, Apple TV, Google TV, and other connected devices.
The control system was also configured for network-based communication with the A/V equipment, allowing the clubhouse to maintain a clean and streamlined user experience.

The Oakwell Farms system was also designed with future expansion in mind. As the clubhouse’s needs change, additional displays, streaming sources, presentation devices, or control functions can be incorporated without rebuilding the entire A/V system.
